CVE North America Talks With New Project Media

CVE North America Expands Community Solar Efforts Across the US

At CVE North America, we are proud to be at the forefront of the solar energy industry, constantly exploring new opportunities and expanding our footprint. Our team recently sat down with New Project Media to discuss our plans for growth and development, with a focus on community solar projects. CVE has nine operating community solar projects totaling 37 MW in Massachusetts, a portfolio of 73MW in construction in New York State, and plans to expand into other states including New Mexico.

According to David Froelich, Director of Solar Business Development at CVE North America, the company is currently participating in the New Mexico Community Solar Request for Proposal (RFP) and is hopeful to be part of a new market in the state. With the goal of having 450-500 MW operating or under construction in the next four years, the company is continuously working to find new programs and opportunities in the Northeast and Midwest.

Despite the challenges in the interconnection process in Massachusetts and the competitive nature of the New Mexico RFP with 100 projects already submitted, the company remains optimistic and committed to its mission of providing clean energy and aiding low-to-moderate-income communities. Additionally, the company is encouraged by the potential growth of the California community solar program, which may be modeled after the successful uncapped program in New York.

Shadé Jaiyeola, Community Solar and Community Outreach Program Manager at CVE, is eager to see how the California program will work with consolidated billing and reach the communities that need it most. The company believes that uncapped programs in large states provide more opportunities for development and growth, and will continue to strive for success in the industry.

At CVE North America, we believe in the power of community solar to positively impact the lives of individuals and communities and are proud to be leading the charge in this industry. We will continue to work towards our goal of providing clean energy solutions and making a difference in the communities we serve.
